Last week I was sent these 5 e.l.f. products to test out & review. I have been using e.l.f products for a couple years now so needless to say I was happily surprised to recieve these products in my mailbox.
I waited a week before reviewing that way I really could see how these products worked on me; giving an honest review is very important & I didn’t want to just go off of my first impression. I wanted to give you guys the full scoop.
First product I tried was the Hydrating Bubble Mask & I loved it. The packaging looks luxe & by the way it made my skin so soft you would never guess this retails at $14.00! My favorite part about this mask is that you pump the product out versus dipping your fingers in to get the product. Much more sanitary! Once you give it two pumps a gel will come out that you apply all over your face. In a couple seconds it turns into a fizzy foam and the mask starts to work its magic by cleaning out your pores. After about 10 minutes you can rinse the excess product off. I have oily skin but this mask didn’t make me any more oily. I plan on purchasing this once I run out.
The second product I tried was the Mineral Infused Face Primer. This primer retails for $6.00. My foundation applied smoothly & stayed put all day. As stated above I have oily skin so I need to stick to matte primers but e.l.f carries a pore refining primer that I may try once this one runs out. This primer is perfect for anyone but they do offer more options in their other primers such as redness reducer, hydrating, illuminating, etc.
Next we have the Baked Duo with a highlighter & bronzer. At first I was nervous because it looks a lot more “shimmery” than it truly is. The highlighter went on very light so you can build up to the color and pigmentation that you want. I used the bronzer as an eyeshadow color because I perfer my bronzers to be matte because once again *oily skin* never lets me have any fun 😉 Both colors are long lasting though. This product retails at $8.00 & they also offer a highlighter/blush duo as well.
The forth product to try was the Lip Exfoliator in “Mint Maniac”. This was fun for me to try because I have the original lip exfoliator from e.l.f. & love it. Every time I go out & wear any lip color I always exfoliate my lips so the product goes on smoother & lasts longer. You apply this in small circle motions & it makes your lips feel brand new again. It retails for $3.00!
The last product they sent me to try out was the Matte Lip Color in the shade “Wine”. This was different than other matte shades on the market out there because it was very moisturizing & had a sheer shimmer to the color. It reminds me of a lip stain because the color lasts hours. I looked at the other colors they offer because at only $3.00 a shade I can get a couple colors I wear frequently without breaking the bank.
All these products can be found at Walmart, Target, drugstores & of course online. If you are located near one of the e.l.f. stores then you can go in & try these products out & test others! I have a store about a half hour from me so I am hoping to check it out soon.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend & thank you again for your support & reading my blog.
Xoxo, The Frugal Blonde
These products were sent to me free to review but as always all opinions are my own.
