Hello everyone! I am starting something new… each Wednesday I’m going to share some details about my wedding last May. I am hoping it inspires any bride-to-be that may be following me or maybe it’ll help if you are planning a wedding for someone as their bridesmaid, maid of honor, or mother!
To start off I am going to share the venue & the details of my dress & my bridesmaid dresses. I’ll go in order each week & show each detail that way it isn’t all at once; that would be overwhelming! I will also share the vendors I used as well.
All photos were taken by Elaine Gates at Elaine Gates Photography. She took our engagement photos too & let me tell you- we will certainly be using her for pregnancy photos & newborn photos when the time comes. She is not only super professional but she made Steve & I feel right at home & really made us feel special. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank her enough for capturing such beautiful photos & I’ll always enjoy looking back on them for years to come.
Our venue was Lauxmont Farms in Wrightsville, PA. We got married at the “Cobblestone Courtyard”. They have four venues at the farm that you can chose from & we chose Cobblestone Courtyard because it fit perfectly with our theme.
All of our decor was made ourselves. I got the gold glass vases at Dollar Tree & we spray painted them gold. The flowers are from Hobby Lobby/ Michaels. My mom put the flowers together for me- I showed her how I wanted them arranged & she did her magic with the hot glue gun.
My shoes are Lilly Pulitzer & my jewelry was Kendra Scott. The hangers that the dresses are hanging on are from an Etsy shop called “Letterally Crafts” & they were a gift from me to my girls.
My dress was from Davids Bridal as well as my bridesmaids dresses. I chose the dress colors then allowed them to pick the style they liked best & whatever shoes they wanted to wear. I honestly was not going to be picky and tell them every detail they had to do because what’s important is that they were standing next to me on the best day of my life. Years from now I’ll look back & smile at everything they did for me to make my engagement and wedding special. Always remember that!
I got them all matching earrings to wear & allowed them to chose whatever other jewelry they wanted. My only request was for them to wear flats because I didn’t want any falls on the cobblestone! It was uneven.
That’s all for this post- I hope you enjoyed it. Stay tuned next Wednesday I’ll share my handsome husband and the groomsmen & also our cake/food vendors!
Have a wonderful Wednesday & let me know if you have any questions!
Xoxo, The Frugal Blonde
